FRIGNANI LORENZO luthier and restaurer
Lorenzo Frignani began his professional career in 1986 and deals with construction and restoration of stringed and plucked instruments for over thirty years.
He received numerous honors and awards for his musical instruments in Italy and around the world.
In addition to his work as a luthier, he is deeply involved in many other aspects of the international music community. He has trained many students, today affirmed luthiers.
He was a member of several juries in international bow violin-making competitions such as Baveno and Pisogne in Italy and also works as an expert consultant for insurance companies such Assicurarte (Cremona) and AXA ART.
He was the President and Vice President of the association ALI Professionals (Italian Association of Violin Makers Professionals) for many years and member of ALADFI (French Bow Makers Association) for ten years .
He conceived and organized exhibitions of musical instruments in Parma, Finale Emilia, Medolla, Pieve di Cento, Spezzano and Rome (Bibioteca Casanatense). As well as abroad, in Beijing, Lausanne (Brillancourt - three months of exposure and the catalog in three languages, guest at the world headquarters Philip Morris) and Geigenbaumuseum Mittenwald (six months and the catalog in two languages).
He has participated in exhibitions devoted to contemporary violin making in Austria and China.
From 1992 to 1998 he received several awards in national and international competitions of Bagnacavallo and Baveno.
In 2010 he received the "Premio Spataffi" city of Gubbio.
In July 2011, he was awarded the Prize "City of Fiuggi" as a violin-maker of the year.
In 2016, the "City of Alexandria" prize for violin making.
He received the award the "Bonissima" for excellence, from the city of Modena.
And 'conservative Stradivari guitar "Sabionari" present at the Museum of the Cremona violin.
He is currently developing new research on the face of conservation and cataloging of historical instruments and performs regularly as a luthier business in Modena.
