Giacomo Rivolta
An important Milanese constructor who was worked during the first half of the 19th century.
It appears that he was a pupil of the Gagliano school of luthery. His instruments were a perfect imitation of those produced by Gagliano. He produced guitars as well as bow instruments. At the Castello Sforzesco in Milan one of his guitars can be found bearing a label stating the following: “GIACOMO RIVOLTA/ Customs House District/ No. 40-39/ Milan 1824”.
